The magical city of Marrakech is located in the west of Morocco, in Africa. Marrakech has been a colony of France, so you will hear the French language a lot. It’s a beautiful culinary city where all your senses are stimulated.
Marrakech – Club Med La Palmeraie
We stayed at Club Med La Palmeraie, a beautiful resort full of activities for children and adults. If you really want to relax, I would advise you to take a spa treatment. Just withdraw completely and just enjoy. We have had a wonderful bath. By the way, the food there is delicious. What is nice is that they vary the food daily.
Lieke and I drove a bit on a camel through Club Med La Palmeraie. This was very special. Of course it’s possible to plan beautiful routes via Club Med La Palmeraie.
From Club Med La Palmeraie you can take the shuttle bus to the well-known Djemaa el Fna square. Unfortunately, we did not come here anymore. It’s a square where you will find artists such as snake charmers. There are stalls with herbs, fruit, and lamps and so on. There are also narrow streets where you can stroll along the souks (market).
Be Riad Marrakech
If you’re looking for a nice lunch spot, then I recommend Be Riad. On the roof you can enjoy the view and music, smoke sisha (hookah) and enjoy Moroccan food: couscous, olives, chicken and beef, which were deliciously seasoned.
La Sultana
A hammam treatment should of course not be missed. Here they do it differently than in the Netherlands. So we got a treatment at La Sultana. A warm space where we were rinsed clean.
Subsequently you were scrubbed and lathered in a new room. As a cherry on top, a massage with Argan oil! After the hammam treatment we were allowed to join the table for a delicious lunch with mint tea.
Across the street of La Sultana is a nice little shop where we bought a copper tea jug (see 3rd photo) and a plate. They are so beautiful and graceful.
Below are some tips about the things we unfortunately haven’t gotten up to yet, but are certainly Instagram snaps worthy.
Activities
- – Most famous square Djemaa El Fna of throughout North Africa
- – The Majorelle Garden of Yves Saint Laurent and Berber museum
- – Hot air balloon flight through the Sahara.
Restaurants
- – Nomad
- – Dar Cherifa
- – Le Jardin

Safe travels ✈
