Two weeks to go and then I’ll be with my boyfriend in the beauitiful tropical country, Thailand. It’s still the rainy season, but I think the worst is pretty much gone now. I’m a little nervous, because we’ll go backpacking for the first time. Do you already see me wearing such a big backpack bag, haha? That will be another great challenge, as I always bring a lot of clothes with me.
But luckily I already have nice flip flops. I have three of Ipanema. A Brazilian brand inspired by the Rio de Janeiro beach vibes, namely the Ipanema Beach. Ipanema has been creating collections for over 15 years that are designed and produced by Grendene, one of the world’s largest flip flops and sandals products. Big business are they eh? Luckily, they are available in more than 90 countries. What I also find cool about Ipanema is that they take account of sustainability in every part. The flip flops are 100% recyclable Flexpand, a flexible material that is recycled. Certainly a big asset Ipanema!
The anatomical footbed has a preformed footbed. This provides stability and a good fit, whereby you can walk on flip flops for hours – Ipanema
The collection is so diverse. They have all kinds of stuff: from patterns, colour to details in the flip flops. So there’s something for everybody. Unfortunately, I have small feet and they didn’t have much more in size 35. Nevertheless, I still managed with the pink flip flops with dark pink glitters, golden flip flops and the black and white flip flops with the kind of blocks on it. You can wear them in different ways, great!
